Haynes completed the decommissioning of a 265,000 SF Staples logistics and distribution facility featuring a fully automated material handling system. The project included the controlled shutdown, disassembly, and documentation of conveyors, sortation equipment, AS/RS systems, pallet handling equipment, and associated control systems, with all assets inventoried for relocation and future recommissioning. The team also dismantled and prepared high-bay racking systems for reuse while safely disconnecting electrical, mechanical, and utility services through a coordinated phased approach. Upon completion, all base-building systems were restored, tested, and verified, returning the facility to a compliant warehouse shell ready for future occupancy.
